Generally I workout in the morning. I have a small breakfast before, usually a slice of bread or a banana with almond butter or a small bowl of oatmeal. After my workout, I’m all about simply but nutritious&delicious recipes. As mentioned in the post Food is fuel, it’s important to have some protein, carbs, and healthy fats in your post workout fuel. A smoothie is a perfect choice to load up with these nutrients.

 

This smoothie is one of my favourites:

 

INGREDIENTS

30g protein powder of choice

1 (frozen) banana

1 tablespoon almondbutter – I really like almondbutter so make mine with this but you can use any nutbutter

1 cup of almondmylk – I prefer almond or oat milk but you can use another milk as well

1 tablespoon of cocao

ice

METHOD

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, pour in a big glass and enjoy!
